Small Business Employment Data

Researchers are analyzing daily timecard data for nearly 40,000 small businesses in the United States, tracking changes in hours worked before and after the COVID-19 crisis began. In collaboration with Homebase, data includes varying sizes of small businesses across 10 different industries.

Household Panel Survey

Researchers are launching a COVID-19 household panel survey to people in the United States. Academics hope to gather consistent (and new) data to better understand how individuals are coping with the pandemic.

Small Business Worker Survey

In partnership with Homebase, researchers will survey hourly workers at small businesses to better understand COVID-19’s impact across demographics, geography, and industry, as well as assessing access to benefits and providing insight into future expectations around employment.

Researchers are studying the economic impact of COVID-19 on a nationally representative sample of Indian households, examining how incomes have changed, how households are coping, and how this varies across socio-demographic groups and states in India.
