Part-Time MBA Student Experience

Chicago Booth’s Part-Time MBA student experience includes full access to more than 40 student-led groups, campus leadership roles, international study opportunities, and a global alumni network of more than 61,000.

It’s all anchored by Gleacher Center, Booth’s dedicated downtown Chicago campus built for working professionals.

Part-Time MBA students get the same community as Full-Time students: every Part-Time club and organization at Booth is open to Evening and Weekend students alike. Here’s how getting involved outside the classroom—alongside a diverse, collaborative community of peers—shapes your MBA experience and your career.

Develop as a Leader

Part-Time MBA students take on real leadership roles while still working full time, not after graduation. Run for a seat on the Student Advisory Council, lead a club as president or event chair, or represent Booth on the national stage.

Explore Interests Outside the Classroom

An MBA shouldn’t require putting the rest of your life on hold. Beyond academics and career-focused clubs, Booth’s Part-Time MBA community includes groups like the Running Club, Chicago Booth Chess Club, Chicago Booth Wine Club, Booth Wellness Club, and Studio Booth—proof this is a full community, not just a classroom.

Gain Global Business Exposure

Part-Time MBA students may take classes in Chicago, but the Booth network is truly global. Through the International Business Exchange Program, you can spend a full academic term studying at one of Booth’s partner schools abroad, or choose a shorter two- to three-week global program built for working students—global business fluency without relocating.

Create Lifelong Connections

The Booth network doesn’t end at graduation. As a student, you’ll already be connecting with more than 61,000 Booth alumni worldwide—who are judging your case competitions, hosting career treks, and leading roundtable forums on campus. These are relationships many students carry with them for the rest of their careers.
