Alumni Board Connect connects Chicagoland Booth alumni with nonprofit organizations looking for directors to serve on their boards.

Who can apply to Alumni Board Connect?

The Alumni Board Connect program is open to alumni living in Chicagoland who graduated from any Booth MBA program three or more years ago. 

Why should I apply to Alumni Board Connect?

From addressing systemic poverty to expanding health-care access, organizations within the ABC network are leading vital social impact work across the Chicagoland area. Serving on the board of one of these nonprofits gives you the opportunity to not only grow your leadership skills and your network, but to take action in supporting causes that you care about in your community.

In addition, you can: 

  • Create impact in Chicagoland by putting your Booth business skills to work
  • Partner with community leaders to grow your own social sector knowledge and connections
  • Drive forward important social impact work through strategic projects across finance, marketing, crisis management, and more

The Alumni Board Connect program is open to nonprofit organizations located in Chicagoland that are actively seeking to place new members to their board of directors. 

Why should my nonprofit participate in Alumni Board Connect?

Finding motivated, right-fit candidates for your board of directors is a critical part of your organization’s long-term strategy – but doing so can be difficult and time-consuming. Alumni Board Connect streamlines this process by connecting nonprofits with Booth alumni who are looking to leverage their MBA skills to create impact in their community. In our application, you can describe the skillsets, financial and time commitments, and mission alignment that you’re looking for, and we’ll work to identify a candidate with similar qualifications and interests.

In addition, you can: 

  • Partner with an engaged and informed new board member looking to give back
  • Leverage Booth MBAs to support strategic projects across finance, marketing, crisis management, and more
  • Gain access to educational opportunities and workshops on board development throughout the year
