On Board in Chicago

OnBoard ChicagoJoin the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation for its annual nonprofit board conference in Chicago on April 13, 2018.

Event Details

On Board Chicago will take place on April 13, 2018, in downtown Chicago.

The conference brings together Booth alumni, students, and faculty, along with nonprofit and business leaders. In addition to providing key trends and insights into board strategy and governance, the conference helps connect those looking to join nonprofit boards with organizations looking to add new board members.

Sessions at On Board will focus on identifying right-fit board opportunities, building a strong nonprofit brand, and shoring up strategic and financial processes. Nonprofit leaders will have the opportunity to schedule 15-minute consultations with accountants and lawyers and walk the networking fair, where representatives from nonprofits can share open board opportunities.

Why Attend?

Too many organizations that are focused on solving social and environmental problems lack resources and talent. Meanwhile, those working in the for-profit sector often seek meaningful opportunities to give back. The Rustandy Center’s On Board conferences—in Chicago, Hong Kong, and New York—bring both sides together for a day of learning and connecting. The conference offers insights into board governance for nonprofit professionals and current board members and facilitates connections between potential board members and organizations looking to grow their boards.

This is essential today because complex social and environmental problems will only be solved by intentional, connected leaders who are equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools.
