Umy is a PhD student in Behavioral Science at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Before joining Booth, he worked with Dr. Matt Lowe at the Vancouver School of Economics; Drs. Steven Heine, Azim Shariff, and Kristin Laurin in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia; and Dr. Alvaro Parra at the UBC Sauder School of Business.
Umy studies norms, rules, and culture through an institutional lens, using computational models as well as lab and field experiments.
