As a Dougan Scholar, you’ll take MBA-level courses at Booth while you’re still an undergraduate, giving you early access to The Chicago Approach to business education—an approach that gives you the insight to interpret complexities, make good decisions, and develop ideas that have lasting impact.
You’ll also benefit from early bidding for MBA-level courses, a Booth student mentor, a cohort of fellow Dougan Scholars, research opportunities, and educational sessions led by Booth faculty and alumni. When you graduate, your transcript will indicate that you completed the certificate program.

How It Works
As a Dougan Scholar, you’ll complement your undergraduate studies by taking six MBA-level classes at Chicago Booth. Along with getting paired with a second-year Booth student as a mentor, you’ll also participate in cocurricular programming to support your classroom learning. From events hosted by Chicago Booth's research centers to programming developed specifically for Dougan Scholars, you'll have countless opportunities to deepen your business acumen and build your network while in undergrad.
Second-year undergraduates at UChicago are eligible to apply for the Dougan Scholars Certificate Program. Applications for the Class of 2023 are now open! Here are the steps to take.
