Designed specifically for ambitious University of Chicago undergraduates, the Dougan Scholars Certificate Program gives you special access to MBA-level courses at Chicago Booth.

In classes with the world’s best business school faculty, you’ll build your analytical and problem-solving skills and develop a deep understanding of the economic disciplines driving business today.

Discover The Chicago Approach

As a Dougan Scholar, you’ll take MBA-level courses at Booth while you’re still an undergraduate, giving you early access to The Chicago Approach to business education—an approach that gives you the insight to interpret complexities, make good decisions, and develop ideas that have lasting impact.

You’ll also benefit from early bidding for MBA-level courses, a Booth student mentor, a cohort of fellow Dougan Scholars, research opportunities, and educational sessions led by Booth faculty and alumni. When you graduate, your transcript will indicate that you completed the certificate program.

How It Works

As a Dougan Scholar, you’ll complement your undergraduate studies by taking six MBA-level classes at Chicago Booth. Three of those courses will cover business foundations—Financial Accounting, Microeconomics (or Competitive Strategy), and Statistics—unless you’ve completed a certain level of economics or statistics in the College.

You’ll also participate in cocurricular programming to support your classroom learning. Evening programming is typically held three times each quarter in addition to occasional lunch events hosted by alumni and faculty.
