Booth Alumni Nonprofit Consultants (BANC)
BANC supports Chicago-based nonprofits with pro bono strategy, planning and advisory services delivered by Booth alumni. The unique program makes a measurable impact in advancing nonprofit mission and objectives by offering nonprofits the opportunity to tap into Booth alumni skills and expertise. Alumni with experience across industries, functions, and all stages in life’s journey (retired, stay-at-home parents, full or part-time) have the chance to give back and deepen their knowledge of the nonprofit sector, while building new connections to the community and fellow Booth graduates.
“The BANC team exemplified the key value of Booth alums – an amazing bench of c-suite talent from across industry, coming together to examine process not just as it is, but imagine what it could be – all in the spirit of creating tighter efficiencies and broader solutions that enable social purpose organizations to more effectively deliver on mission." - Maria Kim, President and CEO, Cara
We currently kick-off new consulting projects twice a year. BANC teams typically have four to six consultants and are completed over a six-month period.
BANC projects tap into Booth strengths: strategic thinking, analytical, management, planning and leadership skills. Services focus on growth strategies, process development and operations evaluations, performance reporting and dashboards, strategic planning, marketing planning, community engagement, and program evaluations. Note: BANC does not provide development/fundraising strategies or advertising materials and does not implement recommended strategies.
