1. We are the only M7 American university with a campus in Hong Kong

Our Executive MBA Program in Hong Kong provides many opportunities for the exchange of ideas among students, faculty, alumni, and the Asia-Pacific business community. With additional campuses in Chicago and London, the Executive MBA Program offers both regional and international networking and learning experiences.

2. Our campus is a blend of old and new, and has been recognized for its architectural beauty

The Hong Kong Jockey Club University of Chicago Academic Complex | The University of Chicago Francis and Rose Yuen Campus in Hong Kong is a Grade 3 heritage site, meaning the government has designated it a building of merit that should be preserved in antiquity. The University of Chicago conducted extensive historical research and heritage interpretation exercises to reconstruct the usage of the site. The campus has won several prestigious architecture awards.

3. Our faculty fly 7,782 miles (12,522 km) from Chicago to Hong Kong

The faculty who teach in the Executive MBA Program travel from Chicago to Hong Kong to stay in residence there during class weeks. Another Fun Fact: As of January 2026, Chicago Booth has ten Nobel Laureates in Economic Sciences affiliated with Booth, four of which still currently teach on our faculty; furthermore, Booth currently holds the title of having the most Nobel Laureates in Economic Sciences coming from any business school across the globe.

4. Booth's Hong Kong cohort has a diverse student body

Specifically within the Hong Kong cohort, we have students coming from China, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, India, Australia, and more. With that, students not only have the opportunity to connect with a diverse group of peers while at the Hong Kong campus, but also during international weeks spent with the entire EMBA class.

5. Our alumnae have reached new heights in Asia

6. The oldest Executive MBA Program in the world changed the industry with its expansion to Asia in 2000

The Executive MBA Program at the University of Chicago has been around for a while—since 1943—and is the first program of its kind. But did you know we’ve also operated in Asia since 2000? Booth opened its first Asian campus at the historic House of Tan Yeok Nee in Singapore before relocating to Hong Kong in 2018.

7. A $20 million gift from Tandean Rustandy, MBA ’07, has fueled social innovation and entrepreneurship at Booth

Tandean Rustandy is the founder of Jakarta, Indonesia-based PT Arwana Citramulia TbK, one of the best-performing ceramic tile manufacturing companies in the world. His gift supports the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation at Booth, which has a presence in Chicago and in Hong Kong.
