The Chicago Booth Legal Cannabis Markets Club exists to create educational,
professional, and networking opportunities for Booth MBA students to explore
the developing cannabis industry. Despite the unique regulatory and structural
challenges posed within the Cannabis market, this industry is rapidly innovating
and experiencing unprecedented growth, with 69% of Americans stating that
they approve legalizing Cannabis in the next few years and a 30% annual
industry growth rate.
To prepare for the eventuality that is federally-legalized Cannabis, our
organization will introduce students to a variety of experiences to enhance their
understanding, skills, and connections to successfully enter the industry across
sectors like healthcare, private equity financing and venture capital, food and

Economies of Scale is the coed a cappella music group at Chicago Booth. We sing a mix of contemporary pop songs, classic ’80s songs, Disney favorites, and everything in between. We perform at Booth events including Golden Gargoyles, Liquidity Preference Functions, and Follies. While every member is asked to attend a short audition, all students are encouraged to join!

With more than 200 regular members, Giving Something Back is one of Chicago Booth’s largest and most active organizations. We currently offer over 20 service projects, ranging from weekly tutoring of local schoolchildren to raising money for scholarships. We hope that our efforts will promote long-term commitment and sensitivity to the importance of good citizenship.

Visit Giving Something Back
The Government and Policy Club provides nonpartisan opportunities for students to explore the relationship between government, politics, and business.
We do this by hosting events featuring Booth faculty with experience in government and policy, connecting students to events across the broader UChicago campus (i.e., ones hosted by the Harris School of Public Policy or the Institute of Politics), and creating a community in which students can discuss topics among each other.

Net Impact's mission is to support and educate students about civic leadership and social impact–focused careers, including impact investing, corporate social responsibility, international development, and nonprofit work. We are also part of the national Net Impact organization, a network of leaders committed to using the power of business to positively impact social and environmental concerns.

The Parents of Little Ones (POLO) Club provides support and community for families at Booth. We are made up of an amazing network of students and partners, and a great source of family fun! We host events weekly such as library story time, visiting museums, family park meet-ups, kids classes, mom’s night out, dad’s night out, and more!
The club is open to all full-time student parents and their partners. All parents are welcome and there is no fee to join!

Visit the Public Speaking and Communications Group
The Adam Smith Society operates under a private endowment in conjunction with the Center for the American University. The group invites noted business luminaries to campus to speak on a variety of topics regarding entrepreneurship, free market economics, and other relevant topics of interest to the Booth community.

The mission of the Yoga Club is to foster a community of mindfulness and a culture of healthy living through the practice of yoga. Activities include classes led by Booth yoga teachers, workshops by Chicago-based instructors, and retreats.

Booth Dance Club (BDC) is a group for all Booth students to come and share their love of dance through regularly scheduled dance classes, performance opportunities, group outings to shows and dance venues, and volunteer opportunities with the local community. No prior dance experience needed!

Booth Football Club is dedicated to bringing together football enthusiasts across the Booth community and creating a safe environment where those unfamiliar can learn more about football. Activities include game watch parties, fantasy football tournaments, and flag football games and tournaments, including the annual ChicagoBowl, versus Kellogg School of Management.

The mission of the Chicago Booth Basketball Club is to promote bonding among Booth students who are interested in playing basketball. We provide regular access to the gym, privileged access to intramural competitions during the year, an opportunity to play against Kellogg School of Management, and much more.

The Chicago Booth Boxing Club offers experienced boxers and beginners a fun and challenging boxing training regimen set forth by the club’s co-chairs and members. The club also gives members the opportunity to experience Chicago’s boxing community, one of the most vibrant in the United States, by attending boxing events, including amateur and professional bouts.

The Chicago Booth Golf Club strives to create community outside the classroom by bringing together people who are interested in golf. In addition to regular golf outings, annual tournaments include first-years versus second-years, Booth v Kellogg, and the alumni outing. The group is open to golfers of all levels, from beginner to pro.

The Chicago Booth Hockey Club is for those students interested in learning about the game of hockey, looking to meet others with similar interests, and competing with their classmates on the ice. We welcome students from all skill levels and all fans of the game.

The Chicago Booth Run Bike Swim Club aims to help students form lifelong relationships through athletic endeavors. Chicago Booth Volleyball Club represents an opportunity for volleyball players of any skill level to enjoy the game with fellow classmates and other students from the University of Chicago. In addition to friendly matches on a regular basis, we also provide an opportunity to participate in MBA volleyball tournaments organized by Harvard Business School in the autumn and by Wharton Business School in the spring.
