The 2025 Employment Report had a 97.3 percent response rate and includes graduates from Summer 2024 through Spring 2025.

When it comes to shifting careers, 76 percent of graduates seeking a career change made one.

Of those who made a career change…

  • 62 percent moved to an entirely new organization (up from 56 percent last year)
  • 33 percent advanced or changed positions at their current company
  • 6 percent started their own company

Furthermore, of those Boothies who reported moving to a new organization…

  • 59 percent changed functions
  • 61 percent changed industries
  • 38 percent changed geographies (up from 27 percent last year)

For graduates who decided to remain at their current companies…

Of the 320 graduates with employment information available, 301 had an employment status that allowed for more detailed analysis of earnings data. Their median base salary was $170,500, with a median sign-on bonus of $30,000.

Geographic Representation of Booth Graduates

Given the vast majority of our graduates are located in the United States, key regions include the Midwest (72.8 percent – notable uptick from last year’s 69.6 percent), the West (8.3 percent), and the Northeast (6.3 percent). Furthermore, within the Midwest, 63.5 percent of graduates secured or maintained roles in Chicago after graduation.
