Stigler Center News Stigler PhD Award Winner Simcha Barkai to join London Business School

Stigler PhD Award Winner Simcha Barkai, after the completion of the joint Program in Financial Economics at the University of Chicago, Department of Economics, and Booth School of Business, will be joining the London Business School faculty as Assistant Professor of Finance starting in the Academic Year 2017–2018. 

Simcha won the Stigler PhD Award in for 2016–2017 with the job market paper “Declining Labor and Capital Shares,” which shows that the decline in the labor share over the last 30 years was not offset by an increase in the capital share.
