Biography
Carlin Adrianopoli is Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting where he leads the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment’s Midwest Region. Mr. Adrianopoli specializes in serving as financial advisor and providing interim management and performance improvement services to corporations, various creditor classes, equity owners and directors of underperforming companies. He has more than 25 years of experience, including industry experience in energy, retail and consumer products and financial institutions.
Adrianopoli recently served as served as the Chief Transformation Officer of a global fitness equipment provider. Prior to that he was the Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning for Frontier Communications during their 2021 $17.5 billion debt restructuring and successful initial public offering under the ticker symbol FYBR. Prior to that, he was the Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) of Outcome Health and Financial Advisor to Peabody Energy during its successful emergence from bankruptcy and initial public offering. Peabody Energy exited as the largest non-government owned coal entity in the world, largely due to the efforts of the board, management team, and the company’s advisors’ restructuring efforts. He was previously appointed as CFO of RadioShack, guiding the company through its restructuring process. Before RadioShack, he was the Chief Restructuring Officer at Tactical Holding. Adrianopoli has also participated in numerous other restructuring engagements over his career.
Mr. Adrianopoli and his colleagues have been recognized with several awards in connection with his successful restructuring work. In regard to Frontier, FTI won the M&A Advisor, 15th Annual Turnaround Awards (2021), Telecommunications Deal of the Year, the Chapter 11 Reorganization of Frontier won the Global M&A Network, 14th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards (2022), Ch. 11 Restructuring of the Year, Mega (Value range above $5 billion). In regard to Peabody, Mr. Adrianopoli’s team was awarded Chapter 11 Restructuring of the Year ($5-15 billion) from the Turnaround Atlas Awards, Restructuring Deal of the Year (over $10 billion) from the M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards and Energy Deal of the Year (over $100 million) from the M&A Advisor Awards. Regarding Southeastern Grocers, his team won Consumer Staples of the Year (over $500 million) from the M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards and Consumer Staples of the Year (over $100 million) from the M&A Advisor Awards. His work on RadioShack was also recognized as Insolvency of the Year by the Turnaround Atlas Awards, Finance/Risk Management and AMCF High Five Recipient by the Association of Management Consulting Firms and Restructuring Deal of the Year ($250-$500 million) by The M&A Advisor.
In 2012, Mr. Adrianopoli received an M&A Advisor 40 Under 40 award for his efforts as a turnaround professional. In 2011, he received the M&A Advisor Transaction of the Year award for his work representing the secured lenders in National Envelope.
Adrianopoli earned a BSBA in accounting from John Carroll University. Additionally, he holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
