I was a marketing consultant in New York, where I worked across a wide range of clients, including health-care and tech clients. I knew that I wanted to stay within marketing. I love exploring what drives people and what makes people do what they do. Booth has allowed me to explore that passion in a way that I was never really equipped to do before. It has such an analytically driven foundation, and you can see that through everything, through the Kilts Center, through all of the classes.

That really spoke to me because I know that that's the direction that marketing is going, and Booth helps you take that data and marry it with a qualitative background and interest and know how to bring everything together. In my Developing New Products and Services Lab, the client that my team is working on is a baby carrier company that's looking to enter the stroller market.

From a qualitative perspective, we're doing a lot of interviews with moms, figuring out what can better serve them. We're taking that insight to come to a conclusion as what our client should do. When you first arrive at Booth, you get to make the experience your own. You pick which classes you get to take. I've made a lot of great friends throughout my courses, especially in the marketing world. It's like a built-in way of bonding and making friends right from the moment that you get here.

It's a really special business school experience.
