Leading Healthcare Systems Under Constraints equips senior clinical and non-clinical healthcare leaders to lead with authenticity, build trust, strengthen team resilience, and deliver sustainable performance in fast-changing environments.
Healthcare leaders are held accountable to drive optimal quality and outcomes while managing sustained financial, workforce, technological, and organizational pressure, all in the face of increasingly complex care requirements. This highly interactive, three-day program, delivered at Chicago Booth’s London campus by the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and UChicago Medicine, with perspectives and contributions from senior UK-based healthcare leaders.
This program is a one-of-a-kind collaboration between Chicago Booth Executive Education and UChicago Medicine, combining world-class business education with leading healthcare expertise.

Perspectives Woven through the Experience
The program’s topical themes are not separate modules. Rather, perspectives and tools are introduced and revisited as the discussion develops, providing practical lenses for the issues participants bring into the room.
Strategic Leadership & Decision-Making
Read the environment, test assumptions, make choices under uncertainty, and identify where leaders and organizations can create value.
Innovation & Healthcare Transformation
Look for better ways of working—including digital and AI-enabled opportunities, operational improvements, and practical innovations that can be implemented within existing constraints and, collectively, improve outcomes and create value.
Leadership in Practice
Strengthen how leaders communicate, influence, build trust and accountability, and help teams make progress and move through continued pressure and change.
Behavior & Change
Examine how behavior, habits, and unnecessary friction can help or hinder change—including practical application and reinforcement mechanisms.
This program is designed for senior and experienced clinical and non-clinical healthcare leaders responsible for making consequential decisions, leading teams and services, and improving performance in environments where resources are constrained and expectations continue to rise.
