Chicago Booth’s Master in Management Program Goes Global

Beginning Winter Quarter 2026, students in the Master in Management Program will have the option to live and study for 10 weeks in one of the most vibrant business hubs in the world—London.

Just a year after the University of Chicago Booth School of Business announced the creation of a new Master in Management Program in 2023, 116 recent college graduates came from around the world to enroll in the program’s first cohort.

The 10-month MiM Program provides recent college graduates who are curious about the world of business with a multidisciplinary course of study that’s taught by Chicago Booth’s world-class faculty, preparing them for a broad set of careers. In addition to five core courses, students take four courses in an area of specialization, allowing them to build specialized skills in an area that interests them.

Today, as the second cohort of MiM students is beginning to take shape, Booth is proud to announce a global expansion of the Master in Management Program. Beginning Winter Quarter 2026, MiM students will have the option to complete a new Global Innovation and Impact specialization in London—one of the most diverse, historic, and dynamic cities in the world.

Students taking the new Global Innovation and Impact: Study Abroad in London specialization will spend 10 weeks taking courses at the Robert Rothman, ’77, London Campus. A short walk from St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Rothman Campus—Booth’s hub in the region—is in the heart of the city’s business district and offers state-of-the-art classrooms.

One of the world’s leading centers of banking, finance, and technology, London has a centuries-long tradition of shaping how the world does business. The study abroad experience aims to expand career opportunities for participants, expose them to new perspectives and cultures, and help prepare them for roles at top global firms—including roles in strategy consulting and business development.

“Chicago Booth sees the world as the context for all that we do, and we are continually innovating to prepare our students to thrive and have impact in today’s global economy,” says Madhav Rajan, dean of Chicago Booth and the George Pratt Shultz Professor of Accounting. “We are excited to offer our MiM students this opportunity to study in the dynamic international business hub of London, allowing them to deepen their global perspective and broaden their career potential.”

MiM students who select Global Innovation and Impact: Study Abroad in London as their area of specialization will begin and end their degree program in Chicago together with their full student cohort. They will then spend Winter Quarter in London, taking three courses that focus broadly on the anchor theme: global business and innovation, with an emphasis on topics relevant to the UK and broader EMEA region.

The three courses are The Wealth of Nations; Global Entrepreneurship, Venture Capital and Private Equity; and an experiential, project-based lab course. In the lab course, students will engage with a London-based company and gain hands-on experience and connections. Students will have additional opportunities to take part in company visits and UK-based excursions related to their coursework.

“In today’s interconnected world, it is imperative for future leaders to develop a deeper understanding of the forces shaping global business,” says Elizabeth O’Neill, associate dean for Booth global degree programs and executive director of the Rothman Campus. “London, with its strengths as an international center for finance, technology, professional services, and more, is the perfect place for Booth’s Master In Management students to hone their global competencies.”

Note: Beginning June 16, 2025, students in the Asness and Liew Master in Finance Program can also participate in Global Innovation and Impact: Study Abroad in London, as part of their graduate program studies.
