Learn more about Booth’s OUTreach and Booth Pride student groups for Full-Time and Part-Time MBA students.

Chicago Booth has a multitude of full-time and part-time student-led groups and organizations that focus on a variety of interest areas, ranging from professional and leadership oriented groups to social, cultural, and special interest groups. For many students, getting involved through student-led organizations opens the pathway to forming lifelong connections with other Boothies.

Chicago Booth has two organizations that aim to foster growth and build community within the LGBTQ+ student body and beyond: the Booth Pride Group (Part-Time MBA students) and OUTreach (Full-Time MBA students). Read on to hear what members of the Booth community appreciate most about what the two student groups have to offer.

Booth Pride Group provides learning and career development opportunities through a series of professional and social event offerings. Booth Pride aims to engage members of Booth’s Part-Time MBA student body, including the LGBTQ+ community and allies, to come together and provide support to one another during and beyond their MBA experience.

“I wanted to co-chair Booth Pride to help continue building a stronger LGBTQ+ community within Booth, and connect fellow students who may have felt isolated in past experiences in similar settings. For me personally, the club has been a great way to meet other students with commonalities far removed from professional interests or career aspirations.” – Ben Cohen, former co-chair of Booth Pride Group

“Booth Pride is a landing pad for any part-time student seeking to connect with an inclusive and accessible student group. People of all backgrounds are welcome in Booth Pride!

I attended the Student Group Fair during my first quarter at Booth and was pleasantly surprised to encounter such a diverse array of student collectives. The Booth Pride co-chair at the time had a wonderful way of connecting with people and our interactions helped me feel a sense of belonging for me to call myself a Boothie. I realized that Booth Pride was the perfect group to join at the onset of my MBA journey and would lead to uncovering passageways into other groups further down the line. Being surrounded by people who accept others as they accept themselves is at the core of being a part of Booth Pride.” – Pablo Sanchez, co-chair of Booth Pride Group

OUTreach members work together to advance social and professional opportunities for students at Booth. From mentorship and guidance with navigating the recruitment process, to networking with alumni and hosting a variety of social events – OUTreach works to enhance the MBA experience for Full-Time MBA students, including those who identify as LGBTQ+ and their allies.

“OUTreach is more than a club—it’s a community where you’ll find belonging, growth, and real joy. Whether you’re joining as an LGBTQ+ student or as an ally, there’s a place for you here. We welcome people from all walks of life and all stages of their identity journeys. You’ll have access to mentorship, friendships, and a wide variety of events that meet you where you are. OUTreach is one of the most supportive and uplifting spaces I’ve found at Booth.

OUTreach creates a space where no matter your background or what challenges or joys you’re experiencing, you know you have support. It’s a place where everyone belongs and can be fully themselves.” — Diana Solares, former co-chair of OUTreach

“My favorite OUTreach event has definitely been HoliGays, our annual ugly holiday sweater party that takes place at the end of Fall Quarter right before Winter Break. There's something so joyful about everyone coming together in their most festive and often hilariously tacky attire to dance the night away. The ugly sweater theme creates a lighthearted, laid-back vibe that makes it easy for people to let loose and have a good time.

Beyond just being a fun party, HoliGays holds a deeper significance for me. Seeing so many of my classmates show up in solidarity, ready to celebrate the community, is truly heartwarming. It's a powerful reminder of the allyship and inclusivity that makes Booth such a special place. I remember looking around the room and feeling so grateful to be part of a community where I can be my authentic self and where my identity is not just accepted but actively celebrated.” — Deasee Phillips, former co-chair of OUTreach
