Yolanda Pan is a PhD Candidate in Behavioral Science. She graduated from the University of Chicago with a Masters in Computational Social Science, and from Tulane University with a B.S. in Psychology and B.S.M. in Finance.
Yolanda is interested in what makes social interactions go well, and specifically how the emotional and cognitive dynamics that unfold during conversation shape impression formation, feelings of connection, and social decision-making. She uses experimental and computational methods to study these processes across face-to-face and technology-mediated contexts.
