When Marketing Meets Innovation

When Shota Ido, ’19, applied to Booth, he’d already identified his next career move.  In an application essay for Booth, he outlined his goal of becoming a product manager at an enterprise tech company after graduation.

Now, thanks in part to the opportunities he had as a Kilts Marketing Fellow, Shota will realize that goal. Upon graduation, he’s joining Adobe as a product manager in the tech giant’s San Jose, California-based office

Revving up Startups

The University of Chicago is home to top-ranked startup accelerator programs, such as the Edward L. Kaplan, ’71, New Venture Challenge (NVC) and the John Edwardson, ’72, Social New Venture Challenge (SNVC). The Kilts Center offers NVC and SNVC teams exclusive access to an Executive-in-Residence (EIR) at the Kilts Center. The EIR works with teams to tackle questions related to topics such as marketing strategy, customer acquisition, and channel strategy.
