Dear Chicago Booth faculty and staff,

I want to thank all of you for what has been another strong year for the school. While we consistently face new challenges in the ever-changing landscape of our work environment, I am amazed at the response and hard work that everyone has put forth to ensure Booth creates an enduring impact. I am proud that we have been able to seamlessly transition across in-person and hybrid operations and programming. We have also grown in new areas, with the opening of the Mindworks behavioral science lab through our Center for Decision Research, and the expansion of programs at the new Robert Rothman, ’77, London Campus.

Our faculty and staff play an indispensable role in creating a work environment of trust and empowerment through respect for one another, excellence in our work, and integrity in our actions. Through these values we continue to advance Booth’s mission of creating knowledge with enduring impact and influencing and educating current and future leaders.

Through the 2022 Chicago Booth Impact Awards, we will again recognize outstanding staff and teams whose contributions exemplify these Booth values. In addition, we want to continuously recognize those who go above and beyond in their work. Therefore, we are introducing a biannual award that will allow staff to submit nominations during two nomination periods. The nomination process is as follows:

Round 1: Beginning today, staff may submit nominations on behalf of a coworker or team who they feel has demonstrated these core values throughout the year. Nominations can be submitted via the Chicago Booth Impact Awards website, where additional information and guidelines can be found. This first nomination window will close on March 25.

Round 2: Beginning August 1, we will follow the same process, providing an additional recognition opportunity for staff as we progress through the year. The nomination window for Round 2 will close August 31. More details will be forthcoming.

I encourage you to submit nominations on behalf of your colleagues and shine a light on the amazing work that we do. This includes highlighting staff whose impact may go unseen across the school or those who have helped support team morale.

I look forward to reviewing your nominations. Thank you again for all your efforts in making this year a success!

Best wishes,
