Biography
Taisiya Sikorskaya is an Assistant Professor of Finance and a Fama Faculty Fellow at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She studies asset pricing and asset management. Her research examines how institutional investors affect asset prices, retail participation in options markets, and limits to arbitrage.
Sikorskaya’s work has been published in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and Review of Financial Studies. Her research received a number of honors and awards, including the 2025 Fama-DFA Prize for the best paper in the Journal of Financial Economics, the 2024 Top Finance Graduate Award, and the AQR Asset Management Institute Fellowship Award. Additionally, she has been cited in international media, including Bloomberg and The Economist.
Before joining Chicago Booth, Sikorskaya earned a PhD and MRes in finance at London Business School, UK. She also holds a MA in quantitative economics and finance from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland and a Diplom (MSc equivalent) in mathematical methods in economics and operations research from Chelyabinsk State University, Russia.
Outside of academia, Sikorskaya has work experience in asset management at Deutsche Asset Management, Deutsche Bank Switzerland and UK.
