Biography
Jason Sussman is the Founder and CEO of 2065 Capital and a Managing Director and Investment Committee Member at The Pritzker Organization, the merchant bank for Tom Pritzker Family business interests. His current and past board positions include Wellspring Family Office, Ferian Re, Steward Partners, Portfolio Group, GreyCastle Holdings and Financeit. He also serves on the advisory councils of the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at University of Chicago, the Booth Family Office Initiative, UChicago Hillel, and Invest for Kids.
Previously, he was a vice president in structured finance at Barclays Capital, where he held a proprietary investments role. He started his career as a tax associate at Davis, Polk and Wardwell.
Sussman created and is teaching the course "Structuring Investments and Investing in Structure" at Booth in the 2026 Winter Quarter. In addition, Sussman has served as a Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School since 2014. At the Law School, he created and teaches the course, “Structuring Financial Instruments,” an eight week seminar.
Sussman is a CFA charterholder. He received his BA (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and his JD (with high honors) from Columbia University.
