Biography

Agata Farina’s research is in information economics and draws on tools from experimental economics, behavioral economics, and microeconomic theory. She studies how information is strategically produced, disclosed, and interpreted, with a particular focus on how incentives and behavioral biases shape beliefs and decisions. Her work combines formal economic modeling with laboratory experiments.

Prior to joining Booth, she was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Economics at Princeton University. Farina holds a PhD in Economics from New York University Stern School of Business, and an MSc and a BSc in Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University.
