Biography
Nabarun Deb's research interests include statistical inference under dependent data (time series, networks, etc.), statistical machine learning with emphasis on optimal transport, and nonparametric inference. His research has appeared in statistics, machine learning, and probability venues such as the Annals of Statistics, the Journal of the Americal Statistical Association, the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series B, Biometrika, the Journal of Machine Learning Research, Neural Information Processing Systems, Bernoulli, the Annals of Probability, and the Annals of Applied Probability.
Prior to joining Booth, Nabarun was a PIMS Kantorovich Initiative Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. He received a PhD in statistics from Columbia University. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of statistics and a Master of Statistics from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.
