Charles Downing

Biography

Chuck Downing’s research interest is in the economics of technological change. He is particularly interested in the economic consequences of generative AI in driving changes in the accounting labor market, information processing, and the production of accounting information.

Downing earned a PhD in Accounting and holds an MS in Management Research, both from MIT Sloan.  Additionally, he earned a BS in Accounting (with honors) from The Ohio State University.
