Biography

Jeremie Bacon is an investor, operator, and educator focused on building companies, leaders, and communities that improve how people live, work, and age.

He is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he teaches New Venture Strategy and works with the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation to help faculty and founders translate new ideas into venture-backed companies.

Jeremie is Managing Partner at Izou Partners and an Operating Partner at Mudita Venture Partners, where he leads and supports Seed and Series A investments in companies shaping the future of work, health, and human longevity. He works closely with founding teams on strategy, team building, and go-to-market execution.

In parallel with his investing and teaching, Jeremie is a co-founder of The Forge Adventure Parks, an outdoor recreation and experiential hospitality platform, and The Wilder World Trust, a nonprofit focused on ecological restoration, environmental stewardship, and outdoor education. His work across these organizations reflects a broader commitment to building responsibly, at scale, across both digital and physical environments.

Over the course of his career, Jeremie has founded, scaled, and exited multiple software companies across CRM, investor relations, portfolio management, marketing automation, trading infrastructure, customer success, and document management. He previously served as CEO of Imagineer Technology Group, which was acquired by Dynamo Software in 2020, and co-founded Backstop Solutions Group, a leading provider of software to institutional investors, which was acquired by ION Analytics.

Jeremie serves on the board of 1871 and has held leadership roles with multiple civic and nonprofit organizations supporting entrepreneurship and innovation.

He received an M.S. in Technology Entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland, a Research Diploma in Japanese from the University of Tsukuba, and a B.A. in International Studies and Global Economics from Brigham Young University.
