Coronavirus Updates

It’s up to each of us to do our part by practicing social distancing and taking care to protect the health of our family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors.

One of the ways that our teams at Chicago Booth can also help is to make sure we are providing support and guidance to our newly admitted students and prospective candidates around the globe. As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to evolve, we want to communicate how it has impacted our 2020 Executive MBA Program so far and outline the strategies we have put in place to assist you.

Connecting with Admissions

Although campus activity has been temporarily halted by the crisis, our global admissions teams are adapting and will be working hard over the following weeks to connect with you virtually through online “coffee chats” and webinars. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your regional admissions office with questions about your application or the program while you work from home.

Final Deadline Extension

We have extended our final admissions deadline to June 1, 2020. This will allow you more time to prepare your application for this year’s program. In addition, we know that there have been significant challenges taking the admissions test due to test center closures. We hope this extension will provide you with more time to study for the online Executive Assessment that GMAC will be making available in late April.

2020 Executive MBA Program Start Date

In order to deliver the level of excellence that Chicago Booth is known for, we have decided to delay the start of this year’s Executive MBA Program until autumn 2020. We are ready to rise to the challenge and are committed to delivering a program of exceptional quality. Our focus on a general management curriculum will continue and our emphasis on academic rigor will endure. Most importantly, our faculty remain unchanged. The same professors that you will learn from as a student at Chicago Booth have been providing vital insights on all aspects of this crisis, as well as lending their expertise to help small businesses, protect at-risk populations, and make a positive impact in these challenging times.

We understand that you probably did not envision beginning your MBA during a time of such uncertainty. During moments like this, we look to each other for support, ingenuity, kindness. The Chicago Booth community is comprised of a global network that is 54,000 people strong – and we are here for you.
