Lil Mohan is an entrepreneur and academician with a passion for bringing great technology products and services to life. He brings to his teaching classes a variety of experiences from his work at Amazon, Intel, Infosys, Motorola, and two successful high-tech startup companies: Junglee and Snapstick.
In his career so far, he and his teams have successfully brought to market several new products and services into the E & M-Commerce, Retail, Mobile SaaS, and Digital Media & Entertainment sectors.
He currently heads Business Development at a mobile platform startup company. Also he independently consults for two other startups that are building innovative, new M-Commerce technology products and services.
Lil was General Manager of Amazon's mobile platform BU, where he and his team built and brought to market the world’s first retail M-Commerce application Amazon Anywhere, enabling customers to find and buy products on their mobile devices. Before its acquisition by Amazon, he was part of the startup team at Junglee Corp., a web technology startup, where he was head of marketing for their e-commerce platform.
More recently, Lil was Global Head of Enterprise Mobility Consulting at Infosys Ltd, before which he was VP of Marketing at Snapstick Inc., a technology start-up company in the mobile, social games and entertainment space. Prior to that, he was Managing Director for Intel’s mobile wireless program in Emerging Markets, before which, he was VP of Business Strategy at Motorola's handset division. Earlier, he has also been a partner at J.P. Morgan Partners Advisors, where he co-managed a venture fund focused on early-stage tech. investments in emerging markets.
Lil has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India, and a BS in Electronics & Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India.
