Housing Wealth in the United States

Our research studies the distributional dynamics of housing wealth in the United States, including how housing wealth is accumulated, transmitted across generations, and redistributed by public policy. This nests three related projects on housing inheritances, the measurement of housing returns, and the impact of public policies on local housing markets. We are requesting funding to obtain multiple listing services (MLS) data to advance our research in this area.
