Alumni Faculty Fireside: Innovating Intelligence
Thursday, January 22
Join us in San Francisco on January 22 for a faculty fireside featuring Sanjog Misra, the Charles H. Kellstadt Distinguished Service Professor of Marketing and Applied AI, in conversation with Ted Sumers, currently in a research position at Anthropic, an AI safety and research company. Sumers will be joining the Chicago Booth faculty in the fall of 2026. This event will be moderated by Madhav Rajan, dean and George Shultz Professor of Accounting for Chicago Booth and chief global strategist for the University of Chicago. As the fast-expanding field of artificial intelligence offers access to increasingly powerful tools, Misra asks what it means for individuals and institutions to create distinctive value within this environment. Misra and Sumers will explore how AI can democratize intelligence and the implications for business and education. They will also discuss the work of Chicago Booth’s Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence, the school’s new AI faculty group, and how Booth is preparing students to think differently in the age of AI.
