About the AI Fellowship Program
The CAAI Fellowship Program is a new initiative that supports Booth MBA students who want to take an active role in shaping the AI community at Chicago Booth. Through the program, fellows receive funding for a proposed AI-related initiatives, as well as mentorship from CAAI staff, involvement in CAAI events, and connections with Booth alumni building careers in AI. The fellowship is open to students with a genuine interest in artificial intelligence and a vision for how to engage and energize the broader Booth ecosystem around it.
Fellows hold their position for the duration of their enrollment at Booth. Second Year Fellows are eligible to apply for funding for activities including:
- Attendance of AI-related conferences and events
- Organization of AI-themed events at Booth
- Other activities evaluated on a case-by-case basis
A maximum of $1000 is available per AI-related initiative, proposal, supported activity, etc. AI Fellows will have access to support services from CAAI staff as well as opportunities to engage with Booth alumni leaders in the AI space. Fellows will have the opportunity to contribute to the organization of CAAI events as well as op-ed style reflection pieces. AI Fellows belong to a unique cohort of engaged learners, and second-year AI Fellows will offer light guidance and mentorship to first-year MBA AI Fellows.
Applications for current MBA students to participate in the 2026-2027 Second Year Fellows cohort will open later this summer.
