Career Aspirations

I want to help individuals with limited opportunities take their first steps toward financial security and global economic participation. Applying the best practices from grassroots development organizations such as the Peace Corps, I want to help grow and refine an emerging international NGO to achieve even greater impacts. Doing it back in Zambia or Malawi, where I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer, would be a dream come true.

Why did you choose to pursue an MBA?

An MBA will help me better understand the fundamental issues facing the international organizations I want to work with and the communities I want to serve. Through coursework in supply chain management, international economics, and organizational behavior, I will either confirm working assumptions I have made over the course of my career, or correct them. As I take on greater responsibilities and the stakes get higher, the knowledge and skills I gain through an MBA will help me realize the greatest outcomes.
