Our Classroom Experience
The classroom experience here at Chicago Booth is unlike any other.
Because of our flexible curriculum, each class is full of deep thinkers who chose to pursue that particular subject matter. This results in dynamic discussions and impactful insights.
Speaker 1: 00:11
There is no doubt in my mind that Booth is the best academic business school in the world.
Speaker 2: (00:17)
Professors bring their research into the classroom all the time.
Speaker 3: (00:20)
For me, it's an amazing opportunity to have people that are so knowledgeable about their specific field and willing to share that with you.
Speaker 4: (00:29)
It's not that you're just fed information, it's more of like you think of everything in the whole, and then you try to critically analyze it and try to understand how that fits to the particular problem you're solving.
Speaker 5: (00:49)
We've got tons of military veterans here, parents, people who are first-generation college students. There's a collective commitment to pushing that conversation forward in a respectful way that creates some really innovative projects here.
Speaker 3: (01:03)
People who have majored in econ help me do micro, or people are just like, "Hey, take a risk and join this class and I'll be in a group with you and I'll help you out."
Speaker 2: (01:13)
So if I just went to business school with a bunch of people like me, there's no one to challenge my thoughts, my ideas, and it's a really great learning opportunity.
Speaker 6: (01:25)
The way that group thinks about data is not just as a core area of study, but more as a lens through which to approach your work.
Speaker 7: (01:32)
Classes like statistics or economics or data-driven marketing are very important to developing your own skills
Speaker 8: (01:40)
So really providing data around a theory is something that I found to be different here at Booth, versus my professional experience where a lot of the leaders are going off of intuition.
Speaker 3: (01:51)
And just thinking about how to use it more efficiently and more thoughtfully to solve the problems that are before you. I think it just made me more confident and comfortable just diving in and using it effectively.
