Nahida joined the Admissions office in the fall of 2015 and has worked on various undergraduate facing initiatives. As the Director of Undergraduate Initiatives, she is responsible for undergraduate recruitment and evaluation as well as programming and alumni engagement for all of Chicago Booth’s undergraduate initiatives, including the Dougan Scholars Certificate Program, Summer Business Scholars Program and Chicago Booth Scholars Program.
Prior to joining Booth, Nahida was the Senior Program Director for the Careers in Education Professions, Law, and Public and Social Service programs for the University of Chicago. In this role, Nahida launched the Education Professions program and provided oversight for all three programs. She has also taught with Edmonton Public Schools for several years before moving into her subsequent roles with the district as a curriculum coordinator and assistant principal. Through her work with the Alberta Teachers’ Association, Nahida spearheaded a council designed to encourage increased collaboration among teachers across the province of Alberta.
Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Nahida earned her B.Ed. from the University of Alberta, and received her M.A. from the University of Chicago. Nahida lives in Chicago with her husband and two children.
