Ziad Abouchadi was born in Morocco and spent 19 years in North Africa before moving to France for a career in finance. Coming from an emerging country, Ziad ultimately saw himself shifting from the trading floor in Paris to investment management in an emerging market. So he sought out an MBA program with a global footprint, but more importantly a culture where he felt at home.
Right away Ziad knew the sense of community within Booth was powerful. However, he had not anticipated the impact it would have on his professional path and personal growth. Within months, Ziad found himself transitioning to a new field with multiple offers on the table from several companies. The advice of Career Services was vital in communicating strategically with the various firms to achieve his goal while maintaining good relationships with all of the recruiters. At the same time, Ziad was surrounded by fellow classmates whose genuine interest and approachability inspired one another to not only be better professionals, but better individuals.
