Yearsley: I show up and I'm not sure that I'm good enough to be in the room. You just don't know until you get here. The funny thing is, is everybody felt the same way.
Edsen: A lot of the same challenges are things that we all face day to day. And so being able to collaborate on those challenges, but from different perspectives, has really been helpful.
Rolle: To be able to sit down and talk to my CEO about, hey, this program is helping me be a transformational leader, and him looking at me and going, that's exactly what we wanted you to get out of it.
Sethi: Being emotionally intelligent, mindful leader. This is the time, that is the message that keeps sticking with me.
Yearsley: The Advanced Management Program has been transformational … I was asked to deliver a story in front of the entire group, and I did it with authenticity, and I did it my way, and it was received super positive. And I realized at that moment that I had a right to be in the room with all the men and women that I was there with, that I could influence them. And then at that same time, I started to see how they were changing the way I think.
Rolle: Learning from the other leaders that are part of the program, you get the sense how unbelievably talented the rest of the people in the program are.
Sethi: I feel like I may have gotten the best, but I'm sure there are going to be many more really good cohorts. So my cohort were 31 people globally. It was very diverse backgrounds, not only in education wise or what they were doing.
Edsen: We also have a wide variety of large companies, smaller companies, public, private, nonprofit. It's really helped me to understand different perspectives from different kinds of businesses and challenges.
Sethi: I just wanted to encourage anybody who's interested not to worry that you won't fit in.
Yearsley: Anyone can do this. It really is true.
Darron Rolle: I think the lessons that I'm taking from here really helped me be a transformational leader, and I think that's a underutilized component of leadership.
Nathan Yearsley: I saw people who also had the same confidence problem that I had, and I saw people are transformed and they're different people. Every one of us has grown professionally, every one of us has grown personally. We've connected to our real self and become more authentic. It's a transformational process. I'm changed by these ideas.
