Stephan Roche is a Partner BanyanGlobal, a family enterprise advisory firm. He joined the firm after more than a decade as a family office and investment executive. Prior to this role, Stephan spent more than a decade as a family office executive. Most recently, he was CEO of Walton Enterprises, the family office for the Walton family. He also served as COO for Cascade Asset Management, the private investment office for Bill Gates and the Gates Foundation.
An inaugural member of the Chicago Booth Family Office Initiative advisory board, Stephan also serves on the boards of Silver Ventures, a family-owned enterprise based in San Antonio, TX, and Guidant Financial Group, a closely-held small business financial services firm based in Boise, Idaho.
Stephan’s expertise is in family governance, family office strategy, and family wealth stewardship. He is a graduate of Princeton University and received his MBA from Harvard Business School. He and his wife Catherine live in Seattle and have 27-year-old triplet daughters.
