Rick White

Rick White is the founder and managing partner of 143 Capital, LP, a Boulder, Colorado based firm providing global investment consulting services to family clients since 2023.  

From 2002 to 2023 Rick was managing partner and founder of Minot Capital, an investment firm that managed asset allocation and invested capital around the globe in a wide variety of public and private strategies for families with multigenerational wealth. Prior to Minot Capital, Mr. White was a partner at Neuberger Berman where he managed multi-billion-dollar portfolios of US equities.  Before joining Neuberger Berman, Mr. White was a managing director and co-founder of Salomon Brothers Asset Management in New York.  At Salomon Brothers Asset Management Mr. White was a member of a three-member executive committee that built and led a $29 billion global multi-product asset management firm from 1989 to 1998.  

From 2015 to 2019 Mr. White served as the elected Chairman of the Board of Managers of Haverford College, and under his leadership the Board was recognized by the Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges with the John W. Nason Award for innovation, creativity and exceptional leadership. He also has served on the boards of numerous for-profit and non-profit organizations including the Robert H.N. Ho Family Foundation, the Bermuda based Hemera Foundation, the Wind River Trust Company, the Abraham Path Initiative, the Investment Advisory Committee of the University of Colorado Foundation, Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, and the Landmine Survivors Network, a co-recipient of the 1997 Nobel Prize for Peace.

Mr. White received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Haverford College.
