Gracy Chen is the CEO of Bitget, a leading global cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company. She is spearheading Bitget’s transformation into a Universal Exchange (UEX), expanding its ecosystem beyond crypto to include stocks, tokenized equities, precious metals, commodities, foreign exchange and other global markets.
Under her leadership, Bitget is building a unified multi-asset trading ecosystem supported by tokenized stocks, cross-asset derivatives, unified account capabilities and crypto-native infrastructure designed to make global financial markets more accessible.
Gracy is also leading Bitget’s evolution into an AI-native exchange. Her strategy goes beyond adding isolated AI features, embedding artificial intelligence across trading products, market intelligence, user experience, operations and decision-making. This includes AI-powered tools for research, analysis, automation and personalized services, alongside company-wide AI adoption as a core part of Bitget’s culture and long-term competitiveness.
Gracy joined Bitget as Managing Director in 2022 and played a central role in its international expansion, brand development and user growth. She helped lead major global initiatives, including Bitget’s partnership with Lionel Messi and campaigns surrounding the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. She was appointed CEO in May 2024.
Before joining Bitget, Gracy co-founded two technology startups, including fintech platform Accumulus, and was an early investor in BitKeep, now Bitget Wallet.
Gracy holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and is a guest lecturer at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), where she teaches a post-graduate course in crypto finance.
She is also a strong advocate for diversity and financial inclusion. In 2024, she founded Blockchain4Her, Bitget’s $10 million initiative supporting women through education, mentorship, funding and industry opportunities. She later introduced Lady Forward, a new proposition focused on advancing women as founders, leaders, innovators and decision-makers across Web3 and the wider technology and financial sectors.
