Anita Brick, Director of MBA Career Advancement Programs at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Founder of The Encouragement Institute, Inc. and brands like Career Currency, Encouragizers, The Appreciation Cocktail, and MSA-It. After being crushed by an elevator early in her career, Anita realized that the neurobiological incentives of positive momentum, gratitude (for self and others), and radical opportunities (via unplanned growth) can and does create extraordinary advancement at the individual, team, organizational, and society levels.

Anita has demonstrated accomplishments in consulting, executive coaching, public speaking, writing, and video production to audiences worldwide. She served as an Officer in Corporate Development and Marketing at a global bank; Vice-President of Marketing for a start-up financial network; equity stakeholder in an organizational development and career management firm; and creative communications director of a motivation and media development firm.

Ms. Brick has written, lectured, and been quoted about career management, executive development, and motivational issues to global audiences including the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Chicago Tribune, the Economist, BP, Northwestern University, and the Federal Reserve Bank. She has served as a contributor to The Wall Street Journal's National Business Employment Weekly, The World Tribune, The Resourceful Woman, WBBU Radio, and No Matter What TV. Ms. Brick holds a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Chicago and Master of Business Administration from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business.
