The Polsky Center Founders' Stories is a regular, off-the-record, discussion with a founder on how they got started, what some of their early struggles were and how they overcame them. We've found that these types of candid and personal accounts are largely fueled by Q&A so please come ready to ask questions.
This week's founder is Liz Kammel-Tilatti, founder of ZipFit Denim. ZipFit helps men and women find perfect fitting jeans fast using smart algorithms.
We are thrilled to feature Liz Kammel-Tilatti as part of our NVC@20 series. Liz came up with the company while a student at Chicago Booth. While carpooling to and from business school, Founder and CEO Liz Kammel-Tilatti discovered how much her male classmates hated shopping for jeans. They were fed up with going to stores where sales associates pushed them to try on tons of "trendy" jeans that didn't fit or having to deal with the grueling back and forth process of trying and buying online without any luck. Liz was inspired to make finding perfect fitting jeans easy, period. After measuring hundreds of guys and jeans, Liz built ZipFit's smart algorithms to help men find their perfect fit fast. Since their humble beginnings, ZipFit has delivered perfect fitting jeans to thousands of men and women around the world.
