Event Details

This is a special dinner party to help Chicago Booth alumni get to know each other better socially and professionally. Alumni that graduated from 1980 - 2000 will get together as a group to enjoy an informal buffet-style taco bar at Edmodo, a social learning network company, in downtown San Mateo.

We will start with cocktails from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with dinner from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 25. You are welcome to bring your spouse or significant other to our reunion gathering.

We are going to have an interactive workshop, "Linkedin Best Practices According to Chicago Booth Alumni" during our reunion dinner.

‎• Iulia Stefan, Program Manager for Marketing Solutions at LinkedIn will also be joining to share her perspectives as a LinkedIn employee and expert.

The audience as a group will have the opportunity to work on Linkedin profile make-overs with different backgrounds, i.e., traditional job seeker, person looking to rebrand for career change, entrepreneur, consultant/advisor/investor, and company CEO. We will focus on the mechanics of building strong Linkedin profiles as well as practical content strategies and social networking tips on how to leverage the Linkedin network for professional growth and industry leadership.

Marguerite Callaway is Founder and CEO of the Callaway Leadership Institute, an international leadership development and strategy company whose mission is to help current and aspiring leaders reach their full potential. Her life's work has been to understand the conditions that foster leadership effectiveness and organizational success, particularly within the context of the leadership paradigm shift already underway globally.

Ms. Callaway has been partner in several international professional services firms and a senior executive with two large US healthcare delivery systems known for their quality and innovation. In 1996, she founded her own international management consultancy. Her client roster includes companies in forty-six states in the USA, the UK, Ethiopia and China.

Since 2005, Ms. Callaway has been a faculty member at Yale University's School of Public Health and the Foundation for Professional Development in South Africa. She has developed and delivered formal graduate-level online and face-to-face management and leadership training in China and eleven African countries. Her company offers practical leadership workshops, tailored in-house leadership development programs, as well as individual mentoring to those seeking to improve their leadership capabilities.

Caroline Sheu, JD/MBA'00 (Speaker)

In her role as Chief Marketing Officer, Caroline is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that draws on both data-driven marketing metrics and emerging media trends to drive business growth and customer engagement, and enhance the Care.com brand equity. Caroline oversees outbound marketing and member communication; acquisition and retention marketing; product marketing; online and offline advertising; event marketing; creative design; public relations and communications; and overall corporate positioning and branding.

Caroline joins Care.com from Disney Interactive where she had served as Head of Global Marketing since July 2012. During her tenure at Disney, she launched seven #1 iPhone apps, and the console and toy game, Disney Infinity, among many other accomplishments. Prior to Disney, Caroline spent two years as Vice President, Global Marketing for Sony Network Entertainment, the Sony division charged with delivering digital entertainment content to all of Sony's Internet-enabled devices. Earlier, Caroline held various senior marketing positions during five years at Electronic Arts. Caroline's career began with roles at both Adobe Systems and Walmart.com.

A member of the Advisory Board of iProspect, Caroline received her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles (1995), her M.A. from the University of California, Berkeley (1996), and her JD/M.B.A. from the University of Chicago (2000).

Joe Megibow, '96 (Speaker)

Joe Megibow is the SVP/Chief Digital Officer at American Eagle Outfitters. In his role, Joe is responsible for digitally enabled customer experiences across all channels and touchpoints, including P&L responsibility for the American Eagle and Aerie direct businesses, omni-channel customer-facing technology, online marketing, analytics, and customer service.

Prior to American Eagle, Joe was VP and General Manager of Expedia.com, where he had P&L responsibility for the US with direct ownership of marketing, merchandising, and operations. In this role, Joe led the launch of the successful "Find Yours" brand campaign and viral "Find Your Understanding" videos. Joe also held the role of VP, Mobile and eCommerce Optimization, with global product management responsibilities of search, checkout, and all mobile initiatives, as well as ownership of analytics, optimization, and site experimentation. Joe joined the Expedia, Inc. family in 2006, heading up Online Marketing and Customer Experience for hotels.com.

Joe worked for seven years as a charter employee of Tealeaf Technology where he held a variety of leadership roles. Prior to 2000, Joe held management positions at Ernst & Young Management Consulting, where he launched the Java Services practice, E&Y's first e-commerce practice; and held engineering positions at EDS in their Advanced Technology Group.

Iulia Stefan (Speaker)

Iulia is a Program Manager on the LinkedIn Marketing Solutions team. In her role, she focuses on delivering client success through scalable data applications that leverage LinkedIn's unique dataset. Across a wide range of use cases, these applications help clients uncover key trends such as audience demographics and behaviors, providing the information they need to be successful LinkedIn marketers.

Prior to LinkedIn, Iulia held a number of analytics positions at various Bay Area marketing and technology companies. She spent 5 years at DiamondStream, a marketing strategy start-up, and was a founding member of the original analytics team that spearheaded DiamondStream's BI practice. Her role at DiamondStream included managing all analytics and strategic client projects, creating new BI product concepts, and managing client and partner relationships.

Iulia graduated with Highest Honors from the University of California, Berkeley, with BA degrees in Economics and Pure Mathematics (2009).

In her spare time, Iulia enjoys hiking, playing tennis, and exploring the culinary delights around Berkeley and the Bay Area with her husband. She also tries to spread the word on the correct way to pronounce her name (YOU-lia).
