Event Details

This is the first in a series of Spotlight Events gaining perspectives from accomplished Booth alumni in their respective industries and careers. Our first event in this series focuses on entrepreneurship.

Panel speakers:
Samreen Ghani, MBA '09, co-founder and the Director of Business Development at W!ldBrain, an entertainment company and leading producer of animation. She was previously a senior manager at Turner Broadcasting, responsible for mergers and acquisitions and strategic partnerships. Prior to Turner, Samreen was an M&A banker at Morgan Stanley working on transactions across the TMT sector
Erin Hallock, MBA '07, is an Investor with Business Growth Fund ("BGF") and a Board Director of Benefex and McMillan Williams. She joined BGF from Barclays Ventures where she was responsible for a portfolio of SMEs including Original Additions and ABI and has experience in range of sectors including manufacturing, consumer goods and technology. Previously, Erin managed a portfolio in health and medical research for The Siragusa Foundation and worked for BearingPoint (fka KPMG Consulting), principally advising technology and wireless telecommunications clients on M&A and strategy. Erin holds an MBA from Chicago Booth, a post-Baccalaureate from LSE and a BA from the University of Washington
Eva Karagianni-Goel, MBA '07, joined Stratagem Technologies, a London-based financial technology start-up focused on analysis and trading tools for the sports betting market, as the company's Chief Business Architect. She joined Stratagem after completing a 6-month placement as an Innovator in Residence with the Big Innovation Centre and before that, she spent 7 years with Dun & Bradstreet. Apart from an MBA from Chicago Booth she also holds a BSc from the University of Piraeus
Jeremy Perlman, MBA '08, Jeremy leads the sales and marketing function for realytics, a Berlin-based performance marketing software provider. Prior to joining Crealytics, he led Apigee in Europe for 4 years, helping grow this API software company from its first employee in Europe to generating 25% annual revenue and raising over US$100m in venture funding. Prior to Apigee, Jeremy worked in a number of failed and successful start-ups and consulting. Jeremy has an MBA from Chicago Booth and a BA from Denison University
Rags Vadali, MBA '07, is an experienced Product Management professional who has been working in European start-ups for the past six years, most recently as the Vice President of Products at Skimlinks in London. He specialises in building and scaling product organisations within high-growth start-ups in the technology sector. Rags holds an MBA from Chicago Booth and an MS from Penn State. His past roles have included Vice President of Products at Layar (Amsterdam), and Product Manager at Tuenti (Madrid) and Google (London).
