Assaf's current company, Hippo Insurance, is fundamentally changing home insurance with its tech-driven approach. They recently raised $100 million in new venture capital at a $1 billion valuation. Prior to Hippo, Assaf started two other companies and worked at McKinsey & Co.

Mehul Nariyawala is a co-founder of Matician - startup with a mission to build robots that save people time and energy.

Mehul was an early employee at a computer-vision-startup Like.com, which was acquired by Google.com in 2010. Then, he co-founded Flutter (YCW12), which was also acquired by Google in 2013. At the time of acquisition, Flutter was the #1 Mac Store app in 73 countries and its users had performed over 77 million gestures via webcams.

Following acquisition, the Flutter team joined Google AI Research and helped launch Google Cardboard. Later, the team moved over to Nest where Mehul was the Lead PM for Nest Camera Product Portfolio. In 2017, he left Google/Nest to start Matician.

Assaf and Mehul were classmates at Booth.

Assaf Wand is the CEO and co-founder of insurtech startup Hippo. The company is reimagining home insurance through the lens of homeowners – building policies with more comprehensive coverage for today's consumers at up to 25% less than competitors. They recently raised $100 million in new venture capital at a $1 billion valuation.

Prior to Hippo, Assaf was the Founder and CEO of Sabi, which designed and produced elegant everyday products for the senior community. Sabi was acquired by Uribo in 2015. Before that, Assaf held several executive positions including SVP of Corporate Development and Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer at Foris Telecom. Prior to that, he was a consultant with McKinsey and Company, and Investment Associate with Intel Capital.

Assaf graduated from Booth in 2005.
