Event Details

BACKGROUND:
If you're in Chennai and unaware of the ongoing water crisis, you're probably living under a rock or up in privileged clouds. If you've been shaken, too, and stirred into action, this mixer is for you.

WHY NOW:
There's no point in crying over spilt milk or over water that has been allowed to run off into the Bay of Bengal. But we can be better prepared before monsoon season sets in again in a few months.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
A short talk by the much-respected environmental activist, Arun Krishnamurthy, founder, Environmentalist Foundation of India. Mr. Krishnamurthy will share water conservation tips for individuals and water restoration project ideas for households and communities.

A welcome drink, delicious appetizers, desserts, and coffee/tea will be served. However, in solidarity with a parched city, no water will be served at the event. While the Bottle Cap Challenge may be hogging headlines, we think an empty-bottle challenge is more meaningful.

WHO'S INVITED:
Alumni, current students, and also guests—whether single or taken—who care about namma Chennai and who'd like to network with fellow professionals and like-minded people.
