A fireside chat with Doug Hirsch, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of GoodRx and former VP of Product at Facebook.
Do you dream of entrepreneurship? Ready to start a company? How do you build a team and find investors? When do you start thinking about company culture? What does it take to start something from scratch?
Come learn how Doug turned a problem - paying for an expensive prescription - into a startup that has since grown into one of LA's most successful companies. One of the first employees at both Yahoo and Facebook, Doug co-founded GoodRx to bring price transparency and consumerism to healthcare. Every month, 10 million people use the free GoodRx mobile app and website to find free coupons and savings tips at 70,000+ pharmacies across the US. GoodRx's investors include LA and Silicon Valley's leading VC's and angels, as well as private equity firms Spectrum Equity, Francisco Partners, and Silver Lake, who recently invested at a valuation in excess of $2.8 billion. To date, GoodRx has helped Americans save over $9 billion.

Doug Hirsch (Speaker)
Co-Founder & Co-CEO, GoodRx
Doug believes that Americans should have more ways to spend less for high-quality healthcare. In 2010, Doug tried to fill an alarmingly expensive prescription from a doctor, and decided to shop around for a lower price. He quickly realized that Americans lacked a one-stop destination for prescription discounts and prices. That experience was the spark that started GoodRx.
Doug has spent decades building technology that helps everyday consumers. He was among the first 30 employees at Yahoo!, where he conceived and managed the earliest online communities. In 2005, he joined Facebook as Vice President of Product. Later, Doug founded DailyStrength, the web's largest community for people facing health and life challenges. DailyStrength was acquired in 2008 by ShareCare, Inc. Doug graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University and currently lives with his family in Santa Monica, California, where GoodRx is based.
