Statistics in India tell us that women in India account for 42% of new graduates but only 24% of entry-level professionals. Of these, only 19% make it to Senior Level Management Roles. Women hold only 7.7% of board seats and just 2.7% of board chairs. Clearly, the need of the hour is to have leaders who can be champions for facilitating the change to increase the percentage of women in senior roles.
