John Kim is HomeAway's president, responsible for the overall strategy and management of the world leader in vacation rentals, with direct oversight of the company's product, marketing and information technology organizations. Prior to joining HomeAway in 2016, Kim served as the chief product officer for Expedia, where he led the company's overall global product development efforts for Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, Wotif, AirAsiaGo brands and end-to-end Hotel, Air, Car, and Activities supplier systems.

Kim is a seasoned and accomplished product and marketing executive with over 20 years of digital media expertise. During his career, he has held executive positions at Expedia, Pelago, Medio, Yahoo!, Accenture and Bank of America.

Kim holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a master's degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
