Event Details

Today’s “networked economy” rewards executives and knowledge workers who know how to work collaboratively themselves, and can create the environment for others to productively collaborate as well. Whether you are navigating a large corporate intranet, a sole proprietor on the internet, or generally in search of guidance and support from virtual colleagues, collaboration is a marketable skill and competitive advantage. How do you attain the confidence, skills and familiarity to match available tools and tactics to realize effective online or offline collaborations? Our focus is on techniques in collaboration that yield great results. You’ll get tips and advice for improving your existing collaborations (whether you are leader or participant) as well as concrete ideas to flex, grow and or launch a task using collaboration. Using examples of collaborations that have succeeded spectacularly and some that are failing, together we'll diagnose the causes. Every participant will safely be afforded time to analyze and improve one of their challenging collaboration experiences. Join us to learn: * the guidelines for making any collaboration work, * the roles people play in offline collaborations, and * the different roles that people can play in online collaborations. Collaborating for a specific purpose delivers results. Join us to acquire an understanding of how to make it happen! (Although part of our ongoing "Collaboration on Collaboration" series, this session is designed to provide value on a stand-alone basis regardless of whether you have attended previous sessions.)
