At our Annual Meeting, we have Professor Nicholas Epley talking about "Designing a Good Life." Most people want to live a “good” life in at least three senses of the term: to do well, to be ethical, and to feel good. Professor Epley will explain how behavioral science research suggests these goals might be closer aligned than you might think. He will provide insight on how to design your life to better achieve these goals.
The meeting will also feature an update on Chicago Booth from our new Dean, Madhav Rajan. There will also be appetizers catered by Wolfgang Puck, a cash bar, and the chance to re-energize your connections with classmates, friends, and fellow alums.

Nicholas Epley (Speaker)
John T. Keller Professor of Behavioral Science, University of Chicago Booth School of Business
Professor Nicholas Epley has written for The New York Times, and over 50 articles in two dozen journals in his field. He has received the Class of 2017 Phoenix Award which is awarded to a faculty member who has greatly enriched the learning experiences of Full Time MBA students. He is also the winner of the 2008 Theoretical Innovation Prize from the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, and was awarded the 2011 Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contribution to Psychology from the American Psychological Association.
Madhav Rajan (Speaker)
Dean and George Pratt Schultz Professor of Accounting, University of Chicago Booth School of Business
Madhav Rajan has been the Dean and George Pratt Schultz Professor of Accounting at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business since July 1, 2017. His primary area of research interest is the economics-based analysis of management accounting issues, especially as they relate to the choice of internal control and performance systems in firms. Before joining Booth, he spent 16 years on the faculty of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business where he was the Robert K. Jaedicke Professor of Accounting, with a courtesy appointment in the Law School.
