According to findings in the Marketing Budgets Report 2014, more than 70% of companies reported planning to increase their digital marketing budgets this year (Econsultancy.com). Comparatively, only 20% reported planned increases in their traditional marketing. Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies are increasingly using digital marketing to increase sales, drive loyalty, and create buzz around new product launches.
As a result of this shift in strategy, companies are faced with challenges around how to evaluate the effectiveness of and integrate digital marketing with traditional avenues like TV commercials and print advertisements. Join Career Services, for a panel presentation, where topics for discussion will include but are not limited to:
- the best ways to measure the value of digital spending
- defining success for digital marketing campaigns
- changes in digital marketing strategies to account for multi-screen environments and various outlets (TV, Google Ads, Facebook, wearable technology)
- effective ways to target consumers given the variety of devices and methods available to reach them
Mark your calendar for Friday, April 4, 2014, at 6:30 p.m. and plan to join in the conversation with fellow MBA students from all programs, Chicago Booth Graduates, and Corporate Representatives.
